Note whether problems worsen after rain — that points to groundwater or a saturated field.
Pump the tank for temporary relief; it buys days, not a fix.

4. Groundwater or Surface Water Infiltration
Rain entering the tank through a cracked lid, failed riser seal or damaged pipe fills it with clean water it was never meant to handle.
Check whether overflow only happens during or after heavy rain — that’s the tell.
Inspect the lid and riser seals for cracks or gaps.
Look for surface water pooling over the tank and regrade so it sheds away.
